Recently, five men and a woman have been indicted in the federal court having charged with operating a broad ranged drug conspiracy that has included mass production of pills and possession with the intent of distribution a very powerful synthetic opioid. The six defendants were accused of participating in a drug conspiracy that dates back to 2016 that have imported large amounts of drugs that have been purchased with the Cryptocurrency on the dark web and used industrial grade machinery to manufacture the pills and sold the drugs on the dark web and all throughout Georgia, as stated by the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia, Bobby L. Christine. The two indicted and charged with the drug conspiracy are also charged with felony murder in Walton County of GA., in the beating and suffocation death of a suspected co-conspirator.
The charged in the indictment are:
- Jonathan Britt Lester of 22 years of age belonging from Loganville, GA, Armand Sananda Saedi of 27 years of age belonging from Atlanta, Ga.; and Morgan McKenzie Slaton of 22 years of age belonging from Hoschton, Ga., all are charged with conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute the drugs and in case convicted each faces sentences of up to five years in prison.
- Walker Christian Forrester of 24 years of age belonging from Loganville GA and Kolbie Hadden Watters of 22 years age belonging from Augusta, GA, are charged with conspiracy for possessing with intent to distribute the drugs, possession of firearms along with the drug trafficking crime, possessing unregistered firearm and conspiracy to commit money laundering. In case they are convicted on all charges, they will have to serve lifelong in prison.
- Larry Overton of 46 years of age belonging from Harlem, GA. Is charged with the conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute the drugs and using and as well as maintaining the drug In case of conviction, he will face a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
All of the defendants in case of conviction will also have to bear substantial fines and terms of supervised release after completion of the prison sentences and that there is no parole in the federal system.
As the indictment states supported by the testimony delivered in court proceedings, the accused Forrester first came to the attention of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration around September 2017 post-purchase of an industrial grade pill press by him. After two months, Forrester, Watters and as well as a juvenile were arrested on the state charges in Harlem of Ga in November of 2017 after a traffic stop in which the Harlem police officers found over 5,200 counterfeits of Xanax pills, marijuana and a shotgun that is sawed-off in the vehicle.
