A dark web vendor belonging from Portland of Oregon has been sentenced to 86 months (7 years and two months) in prison apart from another 36 months (3 years) of supervised release for selling drugs types ecstasy on the most prominent dark web marketplace, AlphaBay. The vendor who is a millionaire on post-prison supervision was caught soon after the law enforcement has found 100 grams of the drugs types heroin whilst a routine residence searches. During the routine residence search at the home of Skylaar D. Ford who is an officer with Multnomah County Parole and Probation, has found 100 grams of drugs types heroin and called the Portland Police Bureau for assistance no sooner. Law enforcement had the ability to conduct warrantless searches at Ford’s residence as a result of a previous conviction for possession of a Schedule II drugs types substance. The sentence included post-prison on supervision.
The Portland Police Bureau had responded to the call and a Special Agent with the Homeland Security Investigations also showed up to the accused’s house. Upon arrival, the Special Agent placed Ford under arrest and had asked to search Ford’s residence. Ford consented to a search as was stated. The HSI Special Agent identified a package that has been addressed to Ford. On enquiring about the package, Ford explained that the package contained a gift but that he could not open the package until a date in the future that seemed vague. Soon after the Special Agent threatened to bring K-9 units out, Ford said that they can open it as it contains drugs types Molly. After opening the package, Gino found two bricks of a drugs types substance that tested positive for MDMA. The bricks uncovered weighed 500 grams in total.
The agent has also asked the accused about the uncovered drugs types MDMA while Ford revealed that he had been selling on the darknet market AlphaBay again. Ford revealed that he had ordered drugs types “molly” from the Netherlands and shipped it to his friend in Alaska. His friend in Alaska had packaged the product for distribution and then shipped the drugs types MDMA to Ford. The accused also gave the agent the credentials to his second AlphaBay account that he had opened off lately in November. The Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Special Agent confirmed that since November 16, 2016, the vendor account completed 531 drugs types MDMA transactions. Officers then arrested Ford and took him to Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office. The 24-year-old Ford was charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute 500 grams of drugs types MDMA. In an Oregon court, Ford has been sentenced to 86 months in federal prison and three years’ supervised release in connection with the ecstasy distribution.
