Actor Amitabh Bachchan’s Twitter account has been hacked by the hacker on Monday. Hours later, the Indian cybercrime agencies have came across the chatter on the dark web that claimed to be responsible for the act. Following this, on Tuesday the same hackers have allegedly hacked the Twitter account of singer Adnan Sami Khan.
Amitabh Bachchan’s Twitter handle is @SrBachchan that was hacked after which the display picture was removed and replaced with that of the Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan. The account also bore a tweet after the hack that said:
Soon after the incident came to notice, the cyber police in Mumbai and Maharashtra Cyber Crime Cell had initiated the investigation into the matter. Sources have confirmed to The Hindu that after a few hours after the hack, chatter on the dark web has attributed the act to a Middle Eastern hacker who was highly lauded on the dark web through the night.
On Tuesday morning, the police have restored Amitabh Bachchan’s account working in collaboration with the Twitter authorities. In the meantime, on Tuesday afternoon, singer Adnan Sami Khan’s account was also supposedly hacked by the same hacker. Similar to Amitabh Bachchan’s account, Adnan Sami Khan’s account’s display picture was also replaced with the Pakistani Prime Minister’s picture. A tweet was posted in the singer’s account that said:
